LinePress: WordPress Newspaper Theme Release

After the release of Showfolio, we decided it was time to go back to our passion for newspaper themes. Many of our supporters have been asking for another theme of this type for months now. Well the time has come, and we think you’ll love our newest theme – LinePress – which has just been released.

LinePress is built on the latest Gabfire framework, and has a completely different layout. With LinePress, we wanted to harness the look and feel of an online newspaper, but maintain the ease of a standard blog. There are dozens of theme options to modify the site to your liking. Most importantly, you can expect the same level of thought-work put into the LinePress back-end as any of our other newspaper themes. Grab your copy today.

Multiple Content Areas

With over 13 separate content areas on the home page you can control from the options panel, LinePress gives you more than enough real estate to showcase your best posts across various categories.

Unlike other newspaper themes, we’ve decided to abandon the featured slider in this theme for a more subtle featured section. No fancy sliders – just highly visible content. Take advantage of the featured row to highlight the latest post from 4 different categories.

Customize Your Site

With 22 widget areas, you’ll have the flexibility to customize LinePress to look and feel exactly the way you want. The theme also includes 6 color styles which you can preview in the demo, and a section for your custom CSS.

Page Templates

Our themes come packaged with several page templates such as a full width page template without the sidebar, and an archives page template. See the demo for all the available templates.

LinePress is the first Gabfire newspaper theme of 2011, and we’re looking forward to hearing your feedback either here or on the support forums. So tell us what you think of LinePress or submit your site to the showcase.
