In the interest of updating our themes to ensure you get access to the latest features, we have been busy updating the Transcript theme. The most noticeable updates are behind the scenes and will be seen in the new control panel. Here is a quick round-up of some of the exciting updates:
The theme has been updated to our latest framework which has already been introduced into the NewsPro and LinePress themes. Additionally, code has been optimized, and in some cases, completely re-written.
Like our more recent themes, Transcript finally has the same theme options panel to easily configure your theme settings.

The inner-page slider automatically grabs all photos uploaded to a post and displays them in a neat format. It supports auto rotation, and can be enabled/disabled on theme control panel. With the latest update, you can even assign a tag to determine which posts display in that neat slider.
Not only is the thumbnail logic more flexible, but it is also faster. You can set a thumbnail using WordPress’ built-in featured image functionality, setting a custom field, or setting the theme to use the first image in the body of the post.
The comment layout has been updated slightly for good measure.

I've customized a lot of my site. Will I lose things or have to redo them if i switch to the updated theme?
Mehmet Permalink
Yes, unfortunately to update your theme will cause you to loose all your customizations

I'd advise that you take note of all the customizations you make and save them in a Google Doc so that after upgrading your theme you dont have to do much as far as code is concerned…

For newspapers, Linepress is the most professional grade theme so far (IMHO)… The image thumbnails under the menu bar, social integration and fonts put this theme in a class light years ahead of its competition. I am considering switching my website http://www.investigativeafrica.com from Adv Newspaper to Linepress.

Hi. I’d like to know how to show tags in posts in Transcript Theme. Is there a plugin? Should I write the CSS code? Which code lines should I write? Thanks!!
